Want Your Child to Communicate to Their Greatest Potential?

We believe that when you can find what sparks a child’s interest, you can teach them anything.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

  • We believe each child has unlimited potential to learn, communicate, and connect with people in the world around them.

  • We believe that parents are a child’s greatest teacher.

  • We believe that to help a child reach their greatest potential, we must guide and coach parents.

  • We believe that patience is key to finding a child’s potential and there is no way to rush the process.

  • We believe that when you can find what sparks a child’s interest, it is possible for them to learn anything.

Meet Julie, Speech-Language Pathologist

Hi, I’m Julie Sparkes, Founder of Spark Speech in Burlington, Ontario.

The inspiration for my brand came from much more than my last name. With over 20 years of working with children, I’ve learned that when you find what sparks a child’s interest, you create the opportunity to teach them anything. A child is always eager to learn when they feel connected to the person they are communicating with and when they are interested in what they are doing.

In our speech therapy sessions, we give your child the opportunity to be relaxed, to engage in meaningful play experiences, and to feel successful. We plan our speech, language, and communication goals to be integrated into these play experiences. Learning and play happen at the same time while we guide and coach your child to achieve their communication goals. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are supported and provided with the strategies necessary to help your child communicate to their greatest potential.

Each child has something special to share. My goal is to give children the confidence and the communication skills to share their unique gifts with the world.

— Julie Sparkes, Founder, Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist
